An ideal student’s mind

I am always hopeful these thoughts might float through the minds of my students. ‘Just got my Year 10 end of year exams back. I didn’t finish in time. I need to speed up. I think I need to improve my reading speeds. If I can get quicker at reading it will help me not only in English but also in other subjects.’ 

English underpins all study

English underpins all the subjects even Maths. Perhaps students are thinking, ‘I need to read more.  I wish I could enjoy reading like I used to do in Primary.’
